Waterproof Dog Collar - Sewn Biothane with Engraved Buckle
Hi! I have a couple lab sisters that like to wrestle. They haven’t been wearing a collar much indoors but need to start doing so as the social party one likes to sneak out and visit neighbors if a door is left open. She will be getting a Fi and compatible collar. My question is… if the labs are wrestling and biting each others necks which collars would be more durable? The laminates are so cute/cool bit will they get ruined? The waterproof biothane looks comfy and practical but will their teeth ruin if they get a hold off the collar? I could go pure canvas is most practical bit? They are sweet labs but young and like to have sisterly spats :-). Appreciate your advice.

Hi there! For pups that are tough on their collars, I would recommend the waterproof biothane as it will be the most durable option. While no collar is truly "chewy-proof" on the biothane the nylon webbing is protected by pvc on those and will be the easiest to clean. I would probably go with one of our heavier weight options, belt buckle style, with a backing (so the collar is not held together by the Fi Device). Out of the fabrics/patterned collars, the best will be the laminated cotton as it is water resistant and has a protective coating on the fabric to keep it looking nice.
